RALEIGH, N.C. — Free shows and workout classes, a music festival featuring Willie Nelson, an anime convention and more top our list of best bets this week.

Monday

Box and Brew - House of Hops on Glenwood Ave. is partnering with Title Boxing Club for a free boxing class in their parking lot. No experience or equipment is needed, and all exercise levels are welcomed. After the class, stay for a beer.

Wednesday

Music in the Valley - Stone Age Romeos will play a free show at Crabtree Valley Mall near Kanki at 6:30 p.m.
Market on Market - Stop by this downtown Raleigh farmers' market between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. every Wednesday for shopping, lunch or both.

Wellness Wednesdays - Join Title Boxing Club of Cary for a free, one-hour workout at North Hills. This event repeats every week.
Second Line Stompers - The New Orleans-style jazz band will play at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. Tickets are $5. Dogs and picnics are allowed.

Thursday

Animazement - Animazement is a four-day fan-run anime convention at the Raleigh Convention Center celebrating popular Japanese visual culture in all of its forms. There will be videos, cultural demos, fan and guest panels, J-pop/rock concerts, martial arts demos, craft classes, artists, vendors and more.
Jim Quick & Coastline - The band will play a free show at North Hills.
Revelers packed the greenway during Back Porch Music on the Lawn Series at American Tobacco Campus. The event featured Adam Hurt, Stephanie Coleman and Beth Williams Hartness.
Back Porch Music on the Lawn - Enjoy a free show by Crucial Fiya at the American Tobacco Campus from 6 to 8 p.m.
NC Beer Mile - Meet at Bond Brothers, drink four beers and take a mile run though downtown Cary.

Friday

D.L. Hughley - One of the most popular and highly recognized stand-up comedians on the road today, D.L. Hughley has also made quite an impression in the television, film and radio arenas. He'll be at Goodnights all weekend.
An Evening with Brian McKnight - Singer-songwriter Brian McKnight brings his tour to Red Hat Amphitheater in downtown Raleigh for one night only.
"Coco" won best animated feature film.
Movies by Moonlight: Coco - Watch the animated movie outdoors under the stars at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. Tickets are just $5 for adults, and proceeds benefit WakeMed Cary Hospital.
Light the Woods with Sound - This event returns to Dix Park all weekend. Watch as musicians produce beautiful music and neon lights dance in the trees. Admission is free, but registration is recommended.

Outlaw Music Festival - The line-up at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek includes Willie Nelson, Sturgill Simpson, Alison Krauss and Delta Rae. There will also be local cuisine, craft beer and artisan booths.
Freedom Balloon Fest - Hot air balloons will take flight during this annual event at Fleming Loop Park in Fuquay-Varina. Things kick off on Friday and run through Monday.
