Monday

Converging Stories: The First Love (Transfer Co. Food Hall, 500 E. Davie St., Raleigh) - This new community storytelling series features live, first-person storytelling to build empathy, understanding and community between neighbors. Each storytelling event will host 10-minute stories with different interpretations around a theme. Tickets are $10.
Hayley Kiyoko (The Ritz, 2820 Industrial Drive, Raleigh) - The American singer, songwriter and actress used to be a child model.

Tuesday

Mean Girls: The Musical (DPAC, 123, Vivian St., Durham) - This hilarious hit musical is based on the film of the same name. See it at DPAC through Sunday.

Celine Dion (PNC Arena, 1400 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh) - Fans can see Celine Dion for one night in Raleigh.
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (UNC Memorial Hall, 114 E. Cameron Avenue, Chapel Hill) - The innovative dance company has performed on the Memorial Hall stage more than 20 times. Now, AAADT returns to perform a program featuring the work of women choreographers Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wednesday

Kinky Boots (Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, 2 E. South St., Raleigh) - This musical is the winner of six Tony Awards, a Grammy Award and features 16 original songs by pop icon Cyndi Lauper.

Best of Raleigh (Goodnights, 861 W. Morgan St., Raleigh) - Come out and support eight Raleigh comics as they record their best jokes.
Roaring 2020s Galentine's Day (The Melting Pot, 3100 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh) - Step back in time at this ladies’ only Valentine’s celebration. Don your flapper finery and enjoy a 3-course fondue meal starting at $20.20. There will be $7 cocktails, ‘20s trivia and a free dinner for two for the best dressed.

Thursday

Durham Night Market: 2020 Kickoff (Pine and Poplar, 307 S. Roxboro St., Durham) - This is the first Durham Night Market of the year! Find the perfect gift for your loved one this Valentine's Day shop, sip and eat. Food trucks Cousins Maine Lobster and Mama Churros will be on site and there will be live music and more than 35 vendors selling sweets and locally-made gift items.
Galentine's Day and Ladies Night (Tin Roof, 300 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh) - Enjoy specials all day, including 1/2 off wine and champagne. Then enjoy music on the main stage and DJ Sauce on the rooftop. Try Tin Roof's Chicken n Waffles served with bacon-Sorghum syrup.
Ms. Pat (Raleigh Improv, 1224 Parkside Main St, Cary) - After surviving a life of struggle and hardship, Ms. Pat brings an honest, in your face and hilarious perspective to her shows. See her through Saturday.

Friday

Love At First Pint: A Very Durham Dating Game (Fullsteam Brewery, 726 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham) - Happy couples and singles can participate in this live dating show that takes us back to a time when matches were made on television instead of Tinder. Show up to drink beer and watch or participate -- one lucky couple will be sent on a blind date. The event is free.
Valentine's Day TOGA Party (Boxcar Durham, 621 Foster St., Durham) - Sip on Valentine's Day signature cocktails, like a chocolate covered strawberry martini, until 2 a.m. and enjoy a build-your-own soft pretzel bar with over 15 sweet toppings. There will even be a raffle drawing.
Axe Your Ex (Southern Charred, 510 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh) - Ever felt like throwing axes at your ex? This Valentine's Day bring in a picture of your ex and make it your bullseye! $5 gets you five throws!
Valentine's Day Mini Market (The Durham Hotel, 315 E. Chapel Hill St., Durham) - Shop for your sweetheart (or treat yourself) as three Durham-based businesses -- Sweets by Shayda, Bright Black Candles and Blossom & Bone Florals -- pop up in the lobby with swoon-worthy wares for Valentine's Day.
