Monday

Pops and Puzzles (Locopops Dessert Cafe, 2618 Hillsborough Road, Durham) - Bring a puzzle, take a puzzle! This free monthly puzzle exchange is from 4 to 8 p.m.
nOg Monday Night Run Club (Raleigh Beer Garden, 614 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh) - Meet at Raleigh Beer Garden at 6:15 p.m. for a 3, 4, 5, or 6 mile route. After the run, stay and enjoy the $5 runner menu and trivia.
Top Chef Dinner Series (High Horse, 208 Wolfe St., Raleigh) - Chef Katsuji Tanabe from High Horse welcomes Chef Silvan Barban to serve her North Italian cuisine alongside his wood-fired dishes. Tickets are $100.

Tuesday

Come From Away (DPAC, 123 Vivian St., Durham) - This takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. It plays DPAC through Sunday.
Open Mic Night (Goodnights, 861 W. Morgan St., Raleigh) - See 20+ of Raleigh's best comedians every week during open mic night.
The Unlikely Candidates (Pour House Music Hall, 224 S. Blount St., Raleigh) - The rock band is from Fort Worth, Texas.

Wednesday

The Disco Biscuits (The Ritz, 2820 Industrial Drive, Raleigh) - Disco Biscuits play a distinct blend of rock, techno, jazz, soul, blues and classical music.
Eagle Count (Lake Crabtree, 1400 Aviation Parkway, Morrisville) - Join park staff in collecting data for the state and national count of bald eagles. Participants will be staged at various locations around Lake Crabtree. No prior birding experience required. Enjoy a light breakfast after the count. Preregistration is required.
Bingo (Ponysaurus Brewing, 219 Hood St., Durham) - Bingo cards are $1 each and proceeds go to charity. Play to win fun prizes or a brewery gift card.

Thursday

The Great Cover Up 2020 (Kings, 14 W. Martin St., Raleigh) - This yearly tradition includes more than 50 bands performing covers over six nights at Kings in downtown Raleigh. Things kick off this weekend and continue next weekend.

Grace Potter (The Ritz, 2820 Industrial Drive, Raleigh) - Potter is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actress who formed Grace Potter and the Nocturnals in 2002.
Michael Menert (Motorco Music Hall, 723 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham) - See the Polish-born American electronic music producer in Durham.

Friday

An Evening with Travis Tritt (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W. Morgan St., Durham) - More than 25 years after Travis Tritt launched his music career, the Grammy award-winning artist continues to sell-out shows.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (Raleigh Little Theatre, 301 Pogue St., Raleigh) - Fifteen-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain; he is exceptionally intelligent but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor's dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit, which leads to an earth-shattering discovery and a journey that will change his life forever. See this show in downtown Raleigh through Feb. 2.
Music of Elton John (Meymandi Concert Hall, 2 E. South St., Raleigh) - Michael Cavanaugh, his energetic band, and the North Carolina Symphony will pay tribute to Sir Elton John's greatest hits on Friday and Saturday.
