RALEIGH, N.C. — There is plenty happening around the Triangle this week!

Monday

Golden Girls Trivia (Leesville Taproom, 13200 Strickland Road, Raleigh) - This fun trivia game starts at 7 p.m.
Swift Night Out (The Durham Hotel, 315 East Chapel Hill Street, Durham) - Chimney swifts are expected to gather for their annual trip to South America and swarm, dive and roost at sunset into downtown chimneys -- all visible from the roof of The Durham Hotel. Telescopes, binoculars and information about how to protect the endangered birds will be on hand along with avian-themed cocktail specials.

Tuesday

Cookbook Cocktail Party (Death and Taxes, 105 West Hargett Street, Raleigh) - This event will feature snacks, cocktails and conversation in celebration of We Are La Cocina, a new cookbook that tells the stories and shares the recipes of the female entrepreneurs involved in La Cocina, a non-profit food incubator.
Bulltown Comedy Series (Fullsteam Brewing, 726 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham) - Every third Tuesday, three comedians from Bulltown Comedy Series take over the Fullsteam stage! Come for the beer, stay for the laughs.

NGHTMARE (Red Hat Amphitheater, 500 S. McDowell St., Raleigh) - The DJ and electronic dance music producer is based in Los Angeles, California.

Wednesday

Savor the Triangle (Kerr Scott Building at NC State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh) - Sample some of the Triangle's most delicious foods and drinks all in one place. Tickets start at $45.
America's Got Talent Watch Party (Marbles Kids Museum, 201 E Hargett St, Raleigh) - WRAL hosts this AGT finale viewing party. Come cheer on our local stars, violinist Tyler Butler-Figueroa and Christal Sanders Rheams with Voices of Service. The event is free, but tickets must be reserved in advance, as space is limited.
Six Pack Standup Show (North Street Beer Station, 521 West North Street, Raleigh) - The Six Pack Standup Show is a monthly comedy showcase featuring six handpicked comics. Tickets are $5.
SuperJam Wednesday (Golden Belt, 807 East Main Street, Durham) - All musicians and lovers of a good time are welcome. This is free.

Thursday

Wine Walk for Charity (Lafayette Village, 8450 Honeycutt Rd, Raleigh) - Participating merchants will be offering free wine tasting at their business from 6 to 8 p.m. for guests as they leisurely stroll through shops and restaurants. The fee to participate is $10, with proceeds going to Saving Grace Animal Rescue. Donations of canned dog food, trash bags and paper towels will also be accepted.
Chihuahuas Roxy and Rocky wait for the race to start.  Rocky (right) was the winner of the smallest dog contest, weighing in at under 5 pounds.
Food Truck Thursdays (Knightdale Station Park, 810 First Avenue, Knightdale) - Enjoy lunch until 1:30 p.m. or dinner between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Shop & Share (Bull City Fair Trade, 811 9th St Suite 100, Durham) - Shop & Share all day until 7 p.m. 10 percent of your entire purchase will be donated to Witness for Peace Southeast, which changes U.S. policies and corporate practices that contribute to poverty and oppression in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Victory Ride to Cure Cancer Kickoff (Downtown Cary Park, 319 S Academy St, Cary) - From 5 to 8 p.m., there will be food trucks, live music and beer from Cotton House Craft Brewers, free outdoor cycling classes provided by Rush Cycle and complimentary eggs from Braswell Family Farms. You'll learn more about the charity bike ride, which is slated for next May.

Friday

The Hate U Give (NCMA, 2110 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh) - Enjoy an outdoor screening of this film that explores two a girl's worlds -- her poor, mostly black neighborhood and the wealthy, mostly-white prep school that she attends.
Crash Area 51 (Kings Bowl, 141 Park at N. Hills St. Suite 120, Raleigh) - Can't make it to Alienstock or to Nevada to storm Area 51? Party safely at this event at Kings Bowl in North Hills on Friday night. There will be themed food, beverage specials, giveaways and a costume contest.
Raleigh Home Show 2016
Southern Ideal Home Show (NC State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh) - The three-day festival features celebrity appearances and home improvement, landscape and interior design workshops plus hundreds of vendors showcasing the hottest new products.
Samuel Comroe (Raleigh Improv, 1224 Parkside Main St., Cary) - Samuel J. Comroe, a Los Angeles native, is a stand-up comedian who performs at over 100 clubs and colleges annually.
