RALEIGH, N.C. — A look at what's happening this week.
Monday
Africana Market and Food Truck Rodeo (Carolina Theatre, 309 W. Morgan Street, Durham) - Enjoy lunch and dinner during this three-day festival featuring some of Durham's tastiest food trucks and vendor displays. The festivals runs daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Sept. 11.
Smarty Pants Trivia Night (Ponysaurus Brewing, 219 Hood St., Durham) - Show off your smarty pants at Ponysaurus Brewing Co.'s weekly Trivia Night.
Tuesday
Open Mic Extravaganza (Goodnights, 861 W. Morgan St., Raleigh) - See 20+ of the best local comedians Raleigh has to offer.
Flying Lotus (The Ritz, 2820 Industrial Dr., Raleigh) - The rapper, record producer, musician, DJ and filmmaker is from LA.
Buddy Guy (DPAC, 123 Vivian Street, Durham) - The blues guitarist and singer has influenced artists like Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page and John Mayer.
Wednesday
Moore Square Market (Moore Square Park, 200 South Blount St., Raleigh) - This market runs weekly through Oct. 16 and features over 20 vendors along with entertainment, educational programming and special events.
Paint and Punchlines (Goodnights, 861 W. Morgan St., Raleigh) - Tickets include a dinner buffet, two drink tickets, a paint-a-long demonstration with comedic commentary and a comedy show.
Park After Dark (319 South Academy Street, Cary) - Enjoy live music from Peter Lamb and the Wolves and food from unique vendors in downtown Cary at the fountain. Food, drinks and lawn chairs are allowed.
9/11 Day of Service - Businesses, groups and individuals will honor those lost on 9/11 with volunteerism and acts of kindness around the Triangle. Service projects include refurbishing schools, packaging food for those in need and more. Visit www.activategood.org to register to volunteer.
Thursday
Raleigh Night Market (City Market, 214 E Martin St., Raleigh) - From 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., this free event will showcase Raleigh's creativity inside historic Market Hall and under the beautiful lights and cobblestone streets of City Market.
Local Band Local Beer (The Pour House Music Hall, 224 S Blount St., Raleigh) - Get funky with Andrew Scotchie & The River Rats, STIG & Unaka Prong. There will be draft specials from Raleigh Brewing.
Mark Curry (Raleigh Improv, 1224 Parkside Main St., Cary) - Mark Curry is an actor, comedian, and host, best known for playing 'Mark Cooper' in the hit ABC sitcom, Hangin' With Mr. Cooper.
Between2Clouds Comedy Night (42 & Lawrence, 134 E Martin St., Raleigh) - Local comedians perform at this free event.
Friday
Lizzo (Red Hat Amphitheater, 500 S. McDowell St., Raleigh) - The rapper and songwriter will perform in Raleigh.
Jason Aldean (Coastal Credit Union Music Park, 3801 Rock Quarry Rd., Raleigh) - The country star brings his Ride All Night tour to Raleigh.
Charlie Wilson (DPAC, 123 Vivian Street, Durham) -The singer, songwriter and record producer comes to Durham.
