RALEIGH, N.C. — The first week of October is here, and there is plenty to do!

Monday

Oktoberfest Pop-Up Beer Garden (Kitchen, 764 M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Chapel Hill) - The French bistro will be host a pop-up dinner featuring artisan sausages and an authentic German Oktoberfest beer from Freedom Beverage Company.
Future Thieves and Crouse (Local 506, 506 W. Franklin Street, Chapel Hill) - The bands will play at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15.
Wine and Cheese Pairing
Beer and Cheese Pairing (Trophy Brewing, 827 W. Morgan Street, Raleigh) - Enjoy a guided flight of five Trophy Beers paired with 5 unique cheeses from Cheese Monger and Sasha Shreders.

Tuesday

North Hills Block Party (4321 Lassiter at North Hills Ave, Raleigh) - Enjoy food tastings from your favorite restaurants in North Hills, a vendor village, giveaways, lawn games and more from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

YogaFest Durham (CCB Plaza, 201 Corcoran Street, Durham) - Enjoy a weekly free yoga class on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. through Oct. 30.
Astronomy on Tap (Fullsteam Brewery, 726 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham) - There will be two exciting talks about simulating stars and observing those that blow up. Beer will be provided.
Open Mic Night (Goodnights, 861 W. Morgan Street, Raleigh) - See 20+ of the best local comedians Raleigh has to offer!

Wednesday

Australia Wine Class (Pedaler Wine and Beer, 5910 Duraleigh Road , Suite 141, Raleigh) - An English-born Certified Sommelier, will lead the tasting.

Jeff The Brotherhood (Motorco Music Hall, 723 Rigsbee Ave, Durham) - The band consists of two brothers from Tennessee. Their style has been described by music writers as containing elements of psychedelic rock, garage rock, punk and pop.Tickets are $12 to $15.
NC Tech Triangle Job Fair (McKimmon Center, 1101 Gorman Street, Raleigh) - Hundreds of skilled candidates will attend this event to meet the state's tech employers.The job fair runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Team Trivia (Raleigh Brewing, 3709 Neil Street, Raleigh) - Enjoy free trivia weekly from 8 to 10 p.m.

Thursday

Casktoberfest (Big Boss Brewing, 1249 Wicker Drive, Raleigh) - Enjoy tacos, bratwurst, pretzels and beer.
Lady Antebellum with Darius Rucker (Coastal Credit Union Music Park, 3801 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh) - See the country singers perform as part of their "Summer Plays On" tour.

Leli's Indian Summer Wine Dinner (Leli's Diner, 3325 Rogers Road, Wake Forest) - The dinner includes several courses and wine. Tickets are $65.
Turnpike Troubadours (The Ritz, 2820 Industrial Drive, Raleigh) - Tickets are $25 to see this country group.

Friday

The Naked Magicians (DPAC, 123 Vivian Street, Durham) - The show, happening on Friday and Saturday, features magic, mirth and more than a touch of mayhem as these two hot and hilarious Aussie magicians say abracadabra.
Eyes Up Here Comedy (Neptunes Parlour, 14 W. Martin Street, Raleigh) - This comedy group is made entirely of women. Tickets are $5.
First Friday Food Trucks (Bicentennial Plaza, 1 E, Edenton Street, Raleigh) - Every First Friday, enjoy food trucks from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Some Fridays will also include brewery trucks, live music and DJs.
Flashback Friday Concert Series (Crossroads Plaza, Walnut Street, Cary) - Enjoy music from the 70's, 80's and 90's. This free event will also host face painting for the kids, a bounce house and a food court from 6 to 8 p.m.
