Monday

Buckethead (Lincoln Theatre, 126 E. Cabarrus Street, Raleigh) - Brian Patrick Carroll, known professionally as Buckethead, is an American multi-instrumentalist musician who has received critical acclaim for his innovative electric guitar playing.

Nature's April Fools (Crowder Park, 4709 Ten Ten Road, Apex) - Many plants and animals play tricks on each other -- they look or act like something other than what they really are. This guided hike is free, but registration is required for all family members and children.
Smarty Pants Trivia Night (Ponysaurus Brewing Company, 219 Hood Street, Durham) - Test your knowledge of the useless information you learned watching Jeopardy, binge-watching Netflix and studying for high school geography.

N.C. Azalea Festival (Downtown Wilmington) - Road trip? The Azalea Festival continues through Sunday in downtown Wilmington and features big-name entertainment, festive galas and fun family events.

How I Learned to Drive (PlayMakers Repertory Company, 120 Country Club Road, Chapel Hill) - This Pulitzer Prize-winning play chronicles one woman's journey to break the cycle--and silence--surrounding her sexual abuse at the hands of a beloved family member. Shows start Wednesday and run through April 21.
Top-Secret Stand-Up Confidential (Goodnights, 861 W. Morgan Street, Raleigh) - This one's for the real comedy superfans. Goodnights picked some of their favorite stand-up comics from around the country to perform shows.
Old World vs. New World Wine Class (Pedaler Wine and Beer, 5910 Duraleigh Road, Raleigh) - What's the difference in flavor, structure, and why? Join Pedaler for an evening of tasting, talking and getting the inside scoop on different grape varietals and the regions that produce them. Seating is limited.

Thursday

Host-A-Hive Info Party (Bull City Burger and Brewery, 107 E. Parrish Street, Durham) - Come out and enjoy honey inspired treats while you learn more about how to bring more sustainable beekeeping to our local community.
Full Frame Documentary Festival (multiple locations throughout Durham) - This four-day festival welcomes filmmakers and film-lovers from around the world to Durham for a morning-to-midnight array of nearly 100 films and discussions, panels and more. Set within a few city blocks that includes Durham Central Park, the Carolina Theatre, Motorco and more, the intimate festival landscape fosters community and conversation among filmmakers, film professionals and the public.

Local Band, Local Beer (The Pour House Music Hall, 224 S. Blount Street, Raleigh) - Local Band Local Beer is welcoming friends from Long Island -- Moon Tooth! Local heroes Grohg and Mo'ynoq will kick the night off right. Tickets are $5.
Joe Machi (Goodnights, 861 W. Morgan Street, Raleigh) - A finalist on season 8 of “Last Comic Standing,” Joe Machi is a regular panelist on the popular Fox News program “Red Eye with Tom Shillue,” and most recently taped a half-hour special for Comedy Central. He'll perform through Saturday at Goodnights.

Friday

Nashville Songwriters Night (DPAC, 123 Vivian Street, Durham) - The songwriters who created some of country music's greatest hits will perform live at DPAC in a special benefit show for three local organizations that help kids become exposed to music.
Take an inside look at Bombshell Beer Company, a new brewery in Holly Springs.
First Friday Fundraiser (Bombshell Brewing, 120 Quantum Drive, Holly Springs) - For $8, you get a special glass to keep and one beer. Proceeds benefit the Carolina Children's Museum, a nonprofit working to bring a nature-focused indoor/outdoor museum to southwest Wake County. There will also be a food truck and raffle drawing.
Fairgrounds Southern Ideal Home Show (State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh) - The three-day festival has a jam-packed roster of events geared to help spruce up the inside and outside of Triangle homes. The show includes a celebrity appearance by designer John Gidding of TLC's Trading Spaces. Tickets are $10.
