Kids can help others go to camp and have fun at the same time during The Amazing Race: For Kids from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. next Saturday.
All proceeds from the event at Jaycee Community Center on Wade Avenue in Raleigh will go toward the Raleigh Parks and Recreation Camp Scholarship Fund. It's $5 per child.
The program aims to teach kids ages 5 to 10 learn about other cultures. They'll build a Mayan temple, race in a Kangaroo Relay and participate in other team-building skills. For more information or to register call 919-831-6833 or go to the city's Reclink site.
