Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling just added a very large new family member

On Wednesday, the actress announced that she and the actor adopted a Doberman puppy named Lucho.

"Meet Lucho. The newest member of our family," she captioned a pic hugging the new doggie. "We adopted him from this amazing agency called Friends for Life Rescue Network @fflrescuenetwork."

Mendes encouraged her followers to adopt if they were looking for a furry friend, or to donate to the rescue group she used.

"If you're looking for a fluffy family member, adoption is a great option. So many little dudes out there needing a home," she wrote. "If you're not able to have a pet but love animals, you can donate to this nonprofit... Your donation helps keep animals off the streets and out of shelters where they euthanize."

Lucho, who was was born in mid-November 2018 at the rescue organization reports People, only learned to walk at five weeks because of his large size.
