Escaped inmate captured in Moore County
An inmate who escaped from Morrison Correctional Institution in Hoffman earlier this month was taken into custody Monday night, authorities said.

HOFFMAN, N.C. — An inmate who escaped from Morrison Correctional Institution in Hoffman earlier this month was taken into custody Monday night, authorities said.
Keith Sharod Moore, 21, left the minimum-security facility Jan. 14.
Dept. of Corrections officers had been following leads that Moore was in the Aberdeen-Southern Pines area Monday. Around 7 p.m., officers spotted Moore and arrested him without incident.
Moore was serving 8 to 10 months for possession of stolen goods. He was convicted in Caldwell County in November.
He will now face escape charges, authorities said.
