'Entire town' of Middlesex without power after crash snaps utility pole

Nash County officials said an entire town is without power after a car crash.

MIDDLESEX, N.C. — Nash County officials said an entire town is without power after a car crash.

According to Duke Energy, around 2,211 customers are without power after a car crashed and snapped a power pole on W. Finch Street around 5:15 a.m.

Injuries were not reported.

Crews were at the scene making repairs at 6:30 a.m. Duke Energy expects power will be restored by 8 a.m.
