FOX 50 hosts 'Idol' tryout

Aspiring singers can compete in Cary Saturday for a chance to audition for the next season of "American Idol." FOX 50 will send one winner from the Cary competition to perform for the "Idol" producers in Charleston, S.C., on July 22.

CARY, N.C. — Aspiring singers can compete in Cary Saturday for a chance to audition for the next season of "American Idol." FOX 50 will send one winner from the Cary competition to perform for the "Idol" producers in Charleston, S.C., on July 22.
The tryout runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cary Towne Center. Register for Triangle Idol

Residents of Chatham, Cumberland, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Halifax, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee, Moore, Nash, Northampton, Orange, Person, Sampson, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne or Wilson counties between the ages of 15 and 28 are eligible.
