Charlotte conductor to play part in royal wedding

Christopher Warren-Green, music director of the Charlotte Symphony, will conduct the London Chamber Orchestra for the royal wedding next month.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Christopher Warren-Green, music director of the Charlotte Symphony, will conduct the London Chamber Orchestra for the royal wedding next month. 
Great Britain's Prince William will marry Catherine Middleton on April 29, at 11 a.m. at Westminster Abbey in London. In addition to his role in Charlotte, Warren-Green is also music director and principal conductor of the London Chamber Orchestra. He and his wife, Rosemary, reside in Charlotte with their son, Jamie. "We are very proud and honored that Charlotte will be represented at this important and memorable occasion," said Jonathan Martin, executive director of the Charlotte Symphony. Warren-Green has conducted numerous concerts at Buckingham Palace, Highgrove House and St James's Palace. He conducted a private concert for the royal family to honor Queen Elizabeth II on her 80th birthday.
