Whew! That was close

Here's a spectacular animation of known asteroids in the Solar System, starting in 1980.  As you watch, the white dots indicate when they were discovered.  The red dots are the asteroids that cross Earth's orbit.  The yellow are the asteroids that come close, and the green ones are just floating out there.
