Greenscreen grandmas

Posted January 6, 2010 6:36 a.m. EST

Here at the big TV station, we have a giant green wall (we call it "chromakey") from which we do weather and traffic.  The control room uses TV magic to replace the green color with an image, so while I'm standing there looking at a green wall, you see a map behind me.

Tour groups love to play with the chromakey when they visit WRAL -- and these grandmas seem to enjoy the green screen, too!
