Neat storm video

Nate Johnson passed along this great time-lapse video from downtown Raleigh, recorded as the big storm passed by Tuesday night.

Meteorologists Elizabeth Garder and Mike Moss say this may be a rotating wall cloud, but it's really tough to tell what's going on in the cloud.  As Mike pointed out, if two objects are travelling at the same speed in the same direction, the closer object will always appear to move faster, giving the illusion of rotation.

All we can say for sure is that downtown Raleigh got an intense thunderstorm last night that made for some outstanding video!
