Enfield teen charged in shooting that wounded one

An 18-year-old Enfield man has been charged in connection with a Tuesday shooting that sent a 22-year-old man to a Greenville hospital.

ENFIELD, N.C. — An 18-year-old Enfield man has been charged in connection with a Tuesday shooting that sent a 22-year-old man to a Greenville hospital. 

According to investigators, Tony Russell Hill shot Chaheem Parker at about 8 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Southeast Railroad and Alsop streets. 

Parker was treated and released from Vidant Medical Center. 

Hill is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury.

Hill surrendered to authorities Wednesday and was released from the Halifax County jail after posint a $50,000 secured bond.
