Enfield man arrested in stabbing, shooting

Brad “Teaboy” McDaniel, 31, of Enfield, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held on a $5,000 bond at the Halifax County Jail.

Enfield man arrested in stabbing, shooting
ENFIELD, N.C. — Deputies in Halifax County said an ongoing feud boiled over on Sunday leading to a stabbing and shooting.

Police were called to a residence on Thirteen Bridges Road outside of Enfield in reference to a shooting. Officers found a man shot in the hip, one person stabbed multiple times and another cut twice in the face.

The stabbing victims were treated and released from different hospitals, police said.

The man shot in the hip was identified as Brad “Teaboy” McDaniel, 31, of Enfield. He was treated and released from Nash General Hospital before being charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held on a $5,000 bond at the Halifax County Jail. His next court date is scheduled for Dec. 17.

Officers said the incident occurred over an ongoing feud between McDaniel and one of the victim’s brothers.
