An American Airlines flight made an emergency landing Wednesday morning at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) due to a possible mechanical issue, the airline said.
Both people in the plane had minor injuries and were taken to an area hospital for observation.

On Tuesday, a recording obtained by WRAL News detailed a conversation between those at Federal Aviation Administration employees in the Raleigh-Durham International Airport Tower and 911 dispatchers.
Devin Lynch, a friend of Charles Hew Crooks, said he wants answers.
Two Federal Aviation Administration employees in the Raleigh-Durham International Airport Tower told the Raleigh-Wake County 911 dispatcher that the surviving pilot reported his co-pilot jumped out of a plane last week before making an emergency landing.
The RDU Police Department said it had interviewed the surviving pilot, whose name was not made public.

According to his father, he was a flying fanatic who had always wanted to take to the skies.
