Emerald Isle named best beach in NC by USA Today
USA Today named Emerald Isle the best beach in North Carolina. Emerald Isle tops the list, beating out Oak Island and Holden Beach. Atlantic Beach came in at number four, while Topsail Beach was sixth and Ocracoke Lifeguard Beach seventh on the list.

EMERALD ISLE, N.C. — USA Today named Emerald Isle the best beach in North Carolina.
Emerald Isle tops the list, beating out Oak Island and Holden Beach. Atlantic Beach came in at number four, while Topsail Beach was sixth and Ocracoke Lifeguard Beach seventh on the list.
The newspaper asked readers to vote for which beach they think is the best in our state. The polling spanned several weeks with the winner announced Friday.
