CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Vandals broke several windows this week at a building in Chapel Hill that houses a furniture store owned by Elizabeth Edwards, police said Thursday.

Rocks were apparently thrown at windows of the Greenbridge Development office and The Red Window, at 400 W. Rosemary St., late Monday or early Tuesday, police said. Seven windows were broken.

Edwards, the estranged wife of two-time Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, opened The Red Window last August.
