Elementary teacher charged with crime against a child

A spokeswoman for the Wake County Public School System said Jeffrey Mohr, 27, resigned from Smith Elementary School in Raleigh a day before his arrest.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A former elementary school teacher was arrested last week on charges of indecent liberties with a child.

A spokeswoman for the Wake County Public School System said Jeffrey Mohr, 27, resigned from Smith Elementary School in Raleigh a day before his arrest.

The school says the crime did not involve a student and did not happen on school grounds. According to the arrest warrant, the incident happened last November.

The school sent out a letter notifying parents about Mohr's arrest.
