The Museum of Life and Science is ready to open up its latest massive exhibit. After some delay, Earth Moves will open to the public on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

As I've written before, Earth Moves focuses on geology and the geosciences and will have features that include a 20-foot man-made waterfall that plunges into a pool at the base of a stream where visitors can splash and cool off. (Note: When you go, once it opens, bring a towel and a change of clothes!)

Earlier this summer, the museum released a behind-the-scenes video about the new exhibit. In it, Michele Kloda, the museum's director of learning environments, says the exhibit will be extremely immersive.

"We've created a space where visitors can come and really experience the geosciences in an authentic way like nowhere else," Kloda says. "... Geology is something that touches our lives every single day, and we hope to bring that concept to the forefront for our visitors who spend time in Earth Moves."
