Lumberton, N.C. — A driving while impaired charge has been dismissed against the football coach at Purnell Swett High School, authorities said.
Mark Heil was charged in connection with a June 27 accident in which his car flipped twice while going around a curve on Secondary Road 2238 in Cumberland County.
Heil registered a 0.13 blood-alcohol content in a breath test, according to a police report.
The case was dropped because the state Highway Patrol couldn't prove the Heil was driving the vehicle at the time of the wreck, authorities said.
