DURHAM, N.C. — A 21-year-old Durham woman died when her car struck a road sign along Interstate 40 early Saturday.

Police said that Tiffany Lee Boyd was driving on I-40 West around 3:30 a.m. when her Saturn ran off the right side of the highway, about a quarter mile east of the N.C. Highway 55 exit. The car struck a post holding up a sign.

Boyd died of her injuries, police said.
