DURHAM, N.C. — A fire at a Durham townhouse left two people homeless on Monday. Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Long Shadow Place around 3:45 p.m.

Officials said they could see flames and smoke from the basement of the townhouse when they arrived. The occupants of the townhouse made it out of the building before firefighters arrived.
