Durham shooter sought after man, 33, dies

— Durham police were investigating a fatal shooting that happened in the 200 block of Cecil Street shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday.

An unknown man shot Kinta Lamont Newman, 33, police said. Friends brought Newman to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Police are searching for the shooter, who is described as a black man wearing a white turtleneck shirt, driving a dark colored Cadillac. The exact model and style of the vehicle were unknown.
