— Three Durham senior living communities in Brier Creek are helping military families in need at Fort Bragg.

A caravan of residents from Carolina Arbors, The Courtyards at Andrews Chapel and Fendol Farms delivered food, supplies and money to the base on Tuesday.

They say they were inspired by a WRAL story about families at Fort Bragg who needed some extra help making ends meet.

For several weeks, the Brier Creek communities, along with 200 members of the Carolina Arbors’ Veteran’s Club, collected the donations and money to help the YMCA Food Bank.
