Durham residents report bear sightings
An animal control officer said the department has taken calls from people in the area of Berini Drive and Cole Mill Road.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — Residents of a Durham neighborhood reported multiple sightings of a bear Thursday, a spokesman for the county animal control office said.
The department has taken calls from people in the area of Berini Drive and Cole Mill Road, a neighborhood near Croasdaile Country Club in northwest Durham.
A caller told WRAL News that up to seven of her neighbors saw the bear between noon and 3 p.m. Thursday.
