Durham police turn to public for help in June shooting

— Police on Monday asked for the public's help in finding Miguel Angel Barrientos, 34, of Jubilee Lane, whom they want in a shooting at a restaurant.

Barrientos is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault by pointing a gun and discharging a firearm within the city limits.

Police said he shot a 28-year-old man at the Plaza Garibaldi restaurant on Foushee Street after the man asked him to stop bothering a female restaurant employee. The man was hit several times in the torso but survived.
