Durham police seek tips in home shootings

Durham police are asking for the public's help in its investigation of three shootings into occupied homes that happened within 15 minutes Friday night.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are asking for the public's help in its investigation of three shootings into occupied homes that happened within 15 minutes Friday night.

In each case, a small white car and a small dark car were seen fleeing the area.

The shootings happened around 11:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of Amberley Drive, 1100 block of North Guthrie Avenue and the 2600 block of Ashe Street, police said.

Anyone with information about the shootings can call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4281, extension 29122, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
