Durham police seek suspect in shooting

Durham, N.C. — Durham police are trying to locate a 21-year-old man wanted in connection with a shooting Tuesday night at the intersection of Queen Street and Liberty Street, near a library.
Otis Lee Johnson, 21, whose last known address was in the 500 block of Liberty Street, charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and carrying a concealed weapon.
Officers said they found a man lying on the floor inside the library at 300 North Roxboro St. at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday.
The shooting happened after a verbal argument between the victim and suspect, police said. The two are acquaintances, according to investigators. The victim – an 18-year-old man – remains hospitalized.
