Durham police seek 26-year-old man wanted in shooting, multiple armed robberies

Durham police are searching for a 26-year-old man who is wanted in connection with a shooting and five armed robberies that have been reported since July.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are searching for a 26-year-old man who is wanted in connection with a shooting and five armed robberies that have been reported since July.

Spenser "Zo" Wall is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, conspiracy and four counts of armed robbery, police said.

According to investigators, Wall shot a 47-year-old man at about 1:45 a.m. on Oct. 6 during a robbery on Avondale Drive. The man is recovering from his injuries.

A second person – Jameka Lavette Mayo, 42, of Durham – was arrested on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy in connection with the same robbery. She is currently in Durham County Jail under a $500,000 bond.

Wall is also charged in armed robberies reported in the following locations:

July 22 in the 1200 block of Liberty Street
July 24 in the 900 block of Calvin Street
July 27 in the 500 block of North Guthrie Street

Oct. 1 in the 1700 block of East Main Street. The victim was struck with a gun and a shot was fired during this incident.
