Durham police are searching for a suspect they say shot at an officer during a foot chase Saturday night.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are searching for a suspect they say shot at an officer during a foot chase Saturday night.

According to police, officers investigating an incident on Sima Avenue at about 11:35 p.m. overheard the suspect discussing criminal activity. When questioned, the suspect ran and fired at officers, police said.

The officer returned fire, but no one was injured. No one was taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
