DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are asking for the public's help finding a man believed to be involved in the shooting of a boy.

On Wednesday, Durham police released a picture of a shirtless man on a green and white motorcycle. The man was wearing a black helmet with sunglasses. The man had dark pants and was black and white Nike shoes.

Durham police did not release the man's name.

Police said the man is believed to involved in a shooting before 5 p.m. Thursday, March 23, on East Main Street near Morning Glory Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a boy had been shot. Authorities took him to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim is now in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
