Durham Police Make Arrest in August Murder
Police on Wednesday charged a man with murder in a case that had been open since last summer.
Posted — UpdatedEarl Revels, 25, of Weldon Terrace was in the Durham County Jail when police went there to charge him with murder in the August slaying of Ronald Bittle, 24.
Bittle's body was lying behind a house at the corner of Clarendon and F streets when police found it on Aug. 3. he had been shot and had been dead at least a day, investigators determined.
Authorities were holding Revels on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (two counts), robbery with a dangerous weapon, probation violation and resisting, delaying and obstructing an officer.
