Durham police investigating shooting

A property owner in Durham shot a trespasser Saturday morning, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A property owner in Durham shot a trespasser Saturday morning, police said.

The owner of 2411 Barry St. arrived at the house, which is vacant, to find someone there and shot the intruder, police said. Authorities did not identify either of the people involved but did say that both were men.

The victim of the shooting was taken to Duke Medical Center, police said. Police were questioning the property owner, but no charges have been filed.
