Durham police are investigating a shooting that injured a man early Sunday evening.

The shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. outside a home at 802 Massey Ave.

The victim, who was shot in the hip and buttocks, was taken to Duke University Hospital for his injuries. An update on his condition was not available Tuesday.

Police released no other details about the shooting, including a possible motive.
