Durham police investigating after two people shot

Durham police are investigating after they found two people with gunshot wounds on Thursday.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating after they found two people with gunshot wounds on Thursday.

Officers were in the area of the 3600 block of Wiggins Street when they heard shots fired at approximately 9 p.m. Officers said they located a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Duke University Hospital with unknown injuries.

Police also responded to the hospital after learning of another man who arrived there with a gunshot wound. The man said he was also in the area of Wiggins Street when he was shot. He had non-life threatening injuries.

Both incidents are currently under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200.
