Durham police are investigating after a 27-year-old man was shot Tuesday afternoon.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Durham police are investigating after a 27-year-old man was shot Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the man was shot near the 2800 block of Courtney Creek Boulevard. The man, who was not identified, was taken to Duke University Medical Center and was in serious condition.

No further information was available as police were on the scene gathering evidence.
