Investigators looking into an early Tuesday morning sexual assault are trying to determine where the crime took place.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Investigators looking into an early Tuesday morning sexual assault are trying to determine where the crime took place.

Police initially said the assault happened on the 4700 block of Hope Valley Road. A woman told officers she was waiting for a ride shortly after midnight when a man dragged her behind a business and sexually assaulted her, police said. The woman was taken to a hospital for minor injuries.

Police on Wednesday said further investigation has determined the crime did not happen on Hope Valley Road. Authorities released no further information about the incident.
