Durham police are investigating two armed robberies at the Kangaroo convenience store, 3223 N.C.Highway 55, within a month.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating two armed robberies at the Kangaroo convenience store, 3223 N.C.Highway 55, within a month.

The first robbery was reported at 7:43 p.m. on Nov. 22. Two masked men entered the store while a third man acted as a lookout by the front door. One man pointed a gun at the clerk and took money from the register. He also took the clerk’s wallet and cash.

One suspect was described as a black man wearing a black hooded sweater with “Yes We Can” on the back, blue jeans and a black mask. The second suspect was described as a black male wearing a red mask, a red hooded sweater with “Brooklyn Express” on the back and black jeans. The lookout was wearing a black mask and a black hooded jacket.

The second robbery happened around 7:15 p.m. on Dec. 20. A man entered the store and took cash and cigarettes at gunpoint. He was described as a black man, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall with a large build. He was wearing a black hooded sweater with “Yes We Can” on the back, a black mask, dark jeans and black gloves.
