The Durham Police Department is investigating drive-by shooting that happened Friday afternoon as a homicide after the victim died from his injuries.

DURHAM, N.C. — The Durham Police Department is investigating drive-by shooting that happened Friday afternoon as a homicide after the victim died from his injuries.

The victim Tyrique Reddick, 25, was standing near the intersection of North Guthrie Avenue and Lathrop streets when shots were fired from a passing vehicle around 1:30 p.m.

Reddick was shot, but was able to make his way to Park Avenue.

He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Police are actively investigation and will provide additional details.
