Durham police investigate cab driver shooting

— Durham police are asking for information about an Aug. 28 shooting in the 3000 block of Fayetteville Street that left a cab driver injured.

A 52-year-old cab driver was shot after he pulled his taxi van into the parking lot of a Food Lion at 3022 Fayetteville St. shortly before 12:30 a.m., police said. Two men wearing dark clothing were seen running from the area.

The cab driver, whose name was not released, was taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. His condition was unknown Tuesday.

The motive of the shooting remains under investigation.
