Police have cited a driver who collided with a police car at a Durham intersection Sunday afternoon.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police have cited a driver who collided with a police car at a Durham intersection Sunday afternoon.
No one was injured in the wreck, but the Durham police cruiser, which had less than 1,000 miles on it, appeared to be totaled, authorities said.
Police said the driver told investigators she thought she could make it through the intersection of Shannon Road and University Drive before the light turned red but couldn't.
The driver, Turkisha Johnson, of Durham, was cited for a red-light violation.
