DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police arrested two men and one woman Monday in connection with an armed home invasion on South Alston Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to a robbery at a home in the 200 block of South Alston Avenue at 8:31 a.m. Monday. Two residents of the home told officers that two men and a pregnant woman entered the house, robbed the victims at gunpoint and then tied their hands and locked them in a closet, authorities said. The victims were able to escape and call police.

Several minutes later, officers spotted two men and a woman matching the suspects’ descriptions in the 400 block of Lakewood Avenue and placed them under arrest, authorities said. Officers said they recovered a firearm and several stolen items.

Investigators charged Jerone Holman, 18, of South Roxboro St., Kevin Powell, 18, of West Enterprise St. and Brandy Leigh Riley, 24, of West Enterprise St., with two counts of robbery with a firearm, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, one count of conspiracy and one count of felony breaking and entering.
