Durham man wanted in bank robbery

Durham police charged Derrick Reed Beulah, 37, of Hamlin Street, Saturday with robbery with a dangerous weapon. They think he is the man who robbed the Wachovia Bank, at 300 Foushee St. on Wednesday morning.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police charged Derrick Reed Beulah, 37, of Hamlin Street, Saturday with robbery with a dangerous weapon. They think he is the man who robbed the Wachovia Bank, at 300 Foushee St. on Wednesday morning.

A man wearing a long wig and makeup entered the bank, handed a teller a note which said he had a gun and demanded money in large bills, police said. The robber never showed a weapon. He was seen leaving the bank on a red or pink bicycle.
