Durham man sought on rape charge
Durham police were searching Wednesday for a man wanted on sexual assault charges involving a child.

Avis Deshon Trueluck, 34, of Durham, is wanted on charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sexual offense with a child and taking indecent liberties with a child.
Police did not comment on the circumstances that led to the charges.
Anyone with information on Trueluck's whereabouts is asked to call police at 919-560-4440, extension 29340 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
Trueluck was convicted of misdemeanor assault on a female in 2002, according to state Department of Correction records.
