Durham man sought in weekend shooting death
Police said Thursday that they are searching for a Durham man in connection with a fatal shooting last Saturday night.

Jeffery Lamar Dawes, 21, of Durham, was shot inside an apartment at 561 Liberty St. and died at Duke University Hospital, police said.
A warrant charging Jermaine Alexander Gibbs, 18, of Eva Street, with murder has been issued.
Investigators said they have determined that Gibbs and Dawes knew each other and the shooting wasn't random.
