Durham man sought in drive-by shooting

Dominique Deshawn Toomer, 19, who has addresses on South Roxboro Street and Gerard Street, is wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are looking for a man in a drive-by shooting May 13.

Dominique Deshawn Toomer, 19, who has addresses on South Roxboro Street and Gerard Street, is wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police said a man was shot in the arm while standing near the intersection of Linwood Avenue and Colfax Street. The shots were allegedly fired from a silver Jeep.

Police did not say how they connected Toomer to the crime.
